कावासोती । राष्ट्रिय विभूति युवाकवि मोतीराम भट्टको १६०औँ जन्मजयन्ती आज नेपाल राज्यभर विभिन्न साहित्यिक कार्यक्रमको आयोजना गरी मनाइँदै छ ।

विसं १९२३ साल भाद्रकृष्ण कुशे औँसीका दिन जन्मेर विसं १९५३ साल भाद्रकृष्ण कुशे औँसी कै दिन ३० वर्षको उमेरमा परलोक भएका मोतीराम भट्टले नेपाली साहित्यको श्रीवृद्धिका लागि गहन योगदान पुर्‍याएका थिए ।

नेपाली साहित्यको शृङ्गार रसलाई योगदान दिएका युवाकवि मोतीराम भट्टले आदिकवि भानुभक्तको जीवनी पहिलोपटक प्रकाशनमा ल्याउनाका साथै नेपालमा छापाखानासमेत भित्राएका थिए । यही छापाखानामार्फत् नेपालमा पत्रकारितको सुरुआत भएको हो ।
